IntroductIon
This publication includes scans, along with their transcription, of a diary written by my grandfather Harvey Mosty sometime in the late 1940s or early 1950s I was told by my mother, Marie Mosty Craft, that she requested Harvey write about his early life in Kansas, the trip to Kerrville, Texas, and early times in Kerrville
I found Harvey’s handwritten diary one evening when my sister Fran was visiting at our childhood home where I presently reside We sat many hours going through our mother’s cedar chest, literally traveling through time Harvey’s handwritten diary (written on the back of a Mosty Nursery and Flower Shop statement pad) was found in an envelope labeled “From Kansas to Texas by Harvey Mosty” It was truly a special nd
And so, following are the scans of those pages, written in Harvey’s own handwriting, along with some family history and old photographs - and other historical documents
