FROM KANSAS TO TEXAS
Mosty Family Old Photos
We believe the Harvey Mosty family homestead was built sometime between 1910 & 1920 We’re certain there were several additions to the home over the years but cannot be certain what was added or when It is relatively safe to assume the home was originally three bedrooms, a kitchen/dining room and a living room
We believe the dining room was an add- on And in the early 1960s a mud room/ breakfast nook/bathroom was added o of the kitchen door by the Cass’ when they inherited the home in 1957
There was a library/east porch added o of the living room We’re not sure when that happened
The home included a basement which housed an oil-burning furnace to heat the house There was no air-conditioning until the early 1960s
In 1985 the homestead was sold by June Cass, bought by Mrs Ima Sue Bauer and moved to 128 Edison Bauer Rd which is at the intersection of Hwy 173 & Loop 534 It is now owned by their heirs Charles & Cynthia Bauer
